I really like the Horn of Africa. This place is great. The atmosphere is open and vibrant, and the food is really great. I also love the fact that you eat the food there with your hands, I havent been able to do that since I was 5 years old. The beer was something that jacked my rating up the highest, they actually had Labatt 50!! So ability to eat with hands, wash it down with 50, and decent service (one waitress to about 12 tables and it was fast) I am going to have to give the Horn of Africa a big ol 7 high fives out of ten.
mmmmmmmmmm pretty tasty i must admit. the lambie goop was the most delicious.
now, as i feel it is my duty to speak for the under represented celiac i will base my rating on the pro-celiacness of the establishment and options available. unfortunately the horn receives only FIVE HIGH FIVES OUT OF TEN due to the fact that the coolest part of the whole affair is the ability to eat with one's hands off an edible spongy bread-like plate - of which was pure gluten. recommendation on that - get creative with some gluten-free flours: teff, rice, potato, tapioca ... oh the options!!
i must not forget an honourable mention despite the unceliacness ..... the horn does have super drink prices - definitely an unsuspecting place to get d-r-u-n-k for cheap.
