Unfortunate Service

SUCKED HARD!! I have never been to a restaurant this poorly organized EVER! My food came after people were finishing their meals and I was one of the first people to order. I had ordered two main courses and they only brought me one of them, and when I brought this to their attention, they offered to bag it so I could bring it home, who wants to bring home a cold meal? Needless to say, I never got that meal. Another big disappointment was the fact that they had no knowledge of what drinks they had available, every drink we ordered they either did not have it on tap, the keg was not working, or they did not know if they actually had it that day, it was really bad. I love my beer and when they tell me they basically dont have any, the place gets an automatic suck it hard rating from me. The beer was redonkulously expensive too, they were selling a can of Tiger for around $5 when you could walk less than a block to the beer store and buy the same can for like $2. Not cool. The biggest let down was at the end of the evening when I gave the Waitress a $5 tip, even though my service sucked very bad, I didn't get one of my meals and they didn't have any variety of beer (after telling us that they did). The waitress had the nerve to come over to me and tell me that I didn't tip her enough!! Can you believe that shit?? I almost burned the place down, I was soo very pissed. So I have to rate this place a negative 5 high fives out of ten and a big fat suck it hard to the Hot peppers restaurant and staff.

oh dear... what to say...

the evening started out on a most fabulous note. my lovely boyfriend took me out for a birthday celebration to a place we thought was a delicious thai restaurant down the street(had been there before and quite enjoyed the food + wine + service on the main floor). then, upon arrival we were escorted to the upper level, where 'the dinner club for drunks' plus other wonderful guests waited patiently for our arrival! unfortunately the waitress was a bit 'over worked' to say the least. then some 'not cool' stuf happened and the evening went a little downhill. particular empathy goes out to dan.

despite receiving a THREE HIGH FIVE RATING OUT OF TEN for the service, highlights of the evening included very very good ceasers (which i believe were their special ceasers, and quite important considering this is the dinner club for drunks), the most random bag-o-goodies from the danya, an amazingly tasty not to mention incredibly dense gluten-free chocolate brownie cake the size of saskatchewan from bob, travis and gigi, quite a bit of rambunctious controversial conversation, amazing painting/portrait gift from the most talented dan, very beautiful cards, and yes... some tasty thai dishes. the food itself receives SIX HIGH FIVES OUT OF TEN because there were copious gluten-free items on the menu for miss.kitts and a perfect amount of spice in each item that we ordered. i do love thai.

thanks to everyone for braving the experience in the name of my 27th birthday!

Yeah, the service was horrid here. Very poor planning on behalf of the restaurant!!!
I liked the food though. It's just really, really unfortunate for this restaurant that they didn't have more staff to work upstairs, because of this, they get a 5.5 outta 10 from me. It could have been a much higher rating...
